Is Phil a fit for your hotel

What Phil does, what your team does, and what your property needs before you buy.

Phil sells your hotel's own services to guests during the stay: room service, dining, laundry, late checkout and upgrades. Offers come at the right moment, at prices inside the floor and ceiling you set.

Your front desk keeps handling general questions. Your team decides every order with Confirm or Reject, and a confirmed order is done.

A good fit#

  • You have things to sell during a stay: a restaurant or room service, laundry, late checkout, room types worth upgrading to.
  • You run a property management system Phil connects to: Mews, apaleo, Cloudbeds, Oracle® OPERA Cloud and Beds24. Using another PMS? Tell us. We add new PMS integrations to Foyer for every hotel.
  • Your team can decide orders from a dashboard in the browser, or from staff Telegram chats on their phones.
  • Guests pay through the room folio. Card payments through your hotel's own processor are coming soon. Foyer never holds guest money.

What changes for your team#

  • Orders, requests and accepted offers arrive on the dashboard and in each department's staff Telegram chat.
  • Staff tap Confirm or Reject. The guest is told the outcome in the app; nobody has to call the room.
  • For orders paid through the room folio, when your team confirms an order, the charge goes on the guest's room bill: Foyer posts it to your PMS once charge posting is switched on for your property, and until then your front desk adds it in the PMS.
  • Emergency wording (fire, medical, security) alerts your team: an alert card in your emergency Telegram chat, or an urgent front desk request on the dashboard, depending on how it was caught.

What changes for your guests#

  • One QR code in the room opens the guest web app in the phone's browser. Nothing to download, no account.
  • The guest enters the room number and the stay code from check-in (or, where codes by text are on, a code sent to the phone on the booking), then orders, asks and accepts offers in their own language.
  • Telegram is for your staff only. Guests stay in the web app.

What Phil keeps about guests#

  • First names only. A surname only when your PMS needs it to hold a room booked by phone. It is cleared when no room was booked, and otherwise when the request closes, the stay ends or 30 days after the request, whichever comes first. Phil never asks for email addresses, allergies or dietary needs. A guest may add an allergy or dietary note to an order themselves: it shows on that order's kitchen card only.
  • The booking phone is kept in full only during the stay. After checkout only its last four digits remain on the charge record.
  • Conversations and records are deleted 12 months after checkout. Anonymised copies, which identify no guest and no Property, may be kept after the originals are deleted, to improve Phil, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Details are in Data and privacy.
