Venues & menu

Venues, dishes and prices, the acceptance time for orders, housekeeping limits, laundry and room charge limits.

Venues & menu describes what guests can order: each venue with its menu, and the settings that decide how orders are handled. Changes reach guests with the next order.

Who can use it#

WhoWhat they can change
F&B staffSold out or available, dish names, descriptions, photos and sections, venue photos and descriptions, prep time, shown to guests, room service, takes bookings, venue hours
F&B team leadAll of that, plus new dishes and sections, prices and sizes
Manager or adminEverything, including new venues, minimum order, delivery charge, service charge, the venue's kitchen Telegram group, and the settings below the menu

A front desk or housekeeping team lead cannot edit the menu. F&B staff see the menu and their venues' hours only.

Venues#

  • The Venues page lists each venue with its type, guest orders (Open, Closed, or Closed: no hours set), bookings and kitchen group. Press a venue to edit it.
  • Add venue asks for the name, type, prep time, opening hours, Room service and Takes bookings, and for room service the minimum order, delivery charge and service %.
  • Room service and Takes bookings start on or off by the type: on for food and drink, off for a spa, activities or a shop. Change either at any time.
  • A venue with no opening hours takes no orders. Go live lists any venue with dishes and no hours.
  • Takes bookings: guests can ask for a table, treatment or session. Each booking is a request your team confirms on its Telegram card.
  • Venue chips pick the venue, with (off) for a venue not shown to guests. Venue settings and Add venue are on the Venues page.
  • Each dish with its section, price and status, Available or Sold out. More on a row: Edit, Mark sold out or Mark available.
  • A dish has a name, description, price (and sizes where offered), section, tags, Goes great with suggestions, a photo, Available to guests and Signature dish. Signature dishes are highlighted to guests.
  • A venue without a kitchen Telegram group shows a warning: order alerts go nowhere until one is set on the venue, on the Venues page.
  • Remove item turns a dish off instead of deleting it when it has order history.

Acceptance time#

  • Order acceptance time: after this an order nobody confirmed closes as Not accepted in time, and nothing is charged. 5 to 120 minutes, 15 by default, with a different time per venue if needed.
  • Orders placed ahead reach the venue: how long before the guest's time, 15 to 120 minutes, 30 by default.

Housekeeping#

Limit housekeeping requests per room per day. Past the limit, a request goes to the front desk to Confirm or Reject.

Laundry#

How guests pay for a pickup: Not offered, Flat price per pickup (with the price), Hotel handles payment, or Free.

Room charges#

  • Managers and admins only.
  • Text code above, per order, and Text code above, in 24 hours: the limits above which a charge needs more checking. For hotels billing in US dollars the defaults are $150 per order and $400 in 24 hours.
  • Hotels in another currency set both limits themselves; until then every room charge waits for the desk.
  • The details are in Spend caps and confirmations.
